We want a world where a team of two can dream as big as a team of a hundred.
Small teams deserve tools that match their ambition, not stripped-down versions of software built for someone else. We build for the architects of the next generation of games.
Where it all started
Three years ago, there were two of us: Gabriel and Yann, two independent game creators. We spent our nights building worlds, and far too much of our days fixing them.
Move one wall near the end of a project and it set off a cascade: replace the assets, redo the textures, re-export, start over. Back-and-forths that ate entire days. Every time, the same gap between what we wanted to create and what our tools allowed.
And every time, the same realization: our ambitions weren't limited by our ideas. They were limited by our tools.

What's broken

Great ideas die in slow pipelines
The friction between thought and realization has never been higher. Modern engines are built for monoliths, leaving independent creators buried in loading bars and complex node trees.
One change costs you a day
We have mistaken feature count for utility. A tool with a thousand buttons is useless if only four are needed to build the foundation of a world.
Power is locked behind big studios
The most advanced 3D technology stays the privilege of teams that can afford to build their own tools in-house. Everyone else gets the leftovers.
"Indie" tools are just smaller
Small teams are handed scaled-down versions of software designed for hundreds of people. Fewer features, same heavy workflow. Never a tool actually built for them.
What we believe
Ambition shouldn't depend on team size
The scope of a project should be set by your ideas, not by the number of people behind you.
Iteration creates better worlds
The faster you can try, break, and try again, the better the world you end up with. Every second of setup removed is a second of creativity gained.
Small teams can build big things
A tool that does one thing for environment creators, and does it cleanly, beats a generalist engine that does everything slowly.
Specialized tools beat bloated workflows
With the right foundation, two people can reach for what used to take a hundred. That's not a slogan. It's the whole reason we exist.
Experience the speed of thought
Cygon removes the technical debt from the creative process, letting teams prototype worlds at the speed of a decision.

What's behind Cygon
Cygon isn't a layer bolted onto an existing engine. Behind it is a team of engineers and researchers, and a technology born inside Inria, the institute whose teams invented Gaussian Splatting and many of the major 3D breakthroughs of the past few years. That's where we come from, and it's the level of rigor we want to put in your hands.
Our technology rests on a new way of encoding 3D environments, not as a frozen result made of polygons, but as a compact, structured, operable description. That foundation is what makes the rest possible.
Light environments
Up to 90% lighter
Less overhead
~30% performance gains
Build times
Far shorter than today's tools allow
We'd rather be honest: Cygon doesn't have every tool we dream of yet. But what it already does, we built with one idea in mind: to be the right tool for creators like you. And what it will do tomorrow is being built right now.
What we're building
A unified workspace where prototyping, blockout, and export happen in a single, fluid motion.
Rapid prototyping
Go from concept to testable environment in minutes, not days. Every second of setup removed is a second of creativity gained.
Faster blockouts
Intuitive 3D layout tools designed specifically for environment architecture. No generalist overhead, no unnecessary complexity.
Clean export
Industry-standard outputs that transfer directly to your engine via Cygon Link. No manual cleanup, no lost data.
What comes next, let's write it together.
This world doesn't get declared. It gets built, tool after tool, and built with you. Because this story isn't really ours: it belongs to the creators who dare to take on projects bigger than their teams. We're only building the tools.
So if you believe in what we're building, build with us. You won't just be using software, you'll be bringing to life a tool made for independent creators, by independent creators.
