1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on and read from your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It is used in particular to ensure the website works, to remember your preferences or to measure its audience. The term "cookies" as used here covers all tracking technologies (cookies, pixels, identifiers, local storage).

2. Cookies used on cygon.tech

We classify cookies into four categories according to their purpose.

a) Strictly necessary cookies — no consent required

Essential to the operation and security of the Site, these cookies do not require your consent. They are used, for example, to remember your cookie choices, maintain your authentication session, ensure the Site's accessibility and protect it against attacks (network security cookies set by Cloudflare).

b) Audience measurement cookies — subject to consent

These help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve its performance and content:

Google Analytics 4 (Google) — traffic statistics;
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — navigation behaviour analysis: heatmaps and session recordings, in which sensitive content (passwords, banking details, personal fields) is masked by default;
Webflow — the hosting platform's native audience measurement.

c) Anti-bot protection cookies — subject to consent

Google reCAPTCHA (Google) — protects forms against bots and spam. This service sets cookies and collects browsing data (IP address, interactions); it is subject to your consent.

d) Advertising cookies — subject to consent

Google Ads (Google) — measures the effectiveness of our campaigns and delivers relevant advertising.

Session data collected by Microsoft Clarity is retained for 30 days by default.

This table reflects the values published by the providers; it will be completed and confirmed by a technical scan of the Site once it is published (in particular for Webflow, Google Ads and reCAPTCHA).

4. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or customise non-essential cookies, category by category. No cookie subject to consent is set before you have expressed your choice, and refusing is as easy as accepting.

In accordance with the recommendations of the French data protection authority (CNIL), your choice (whether acceptance or refusal) is kept for 6 months; after this period, your consent will be requested again. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link available on the Site.

5. Managing cookies from your browser

You can configure your browser to accept or refuse cookies, or to be notified when they are set. Each browser has its own settings, described in its help menu (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Refusing certain cookies may affect your browsing experience.

6. Retention period

Cookies subject to consent have a lifetime of 13 months maximum. The information collected through them is retained for 25 months maximum, in accordance with the CNIL's recommendations.
